I used to be a dj in Portland Oregon.
During that time I worked at Starbass Records.

This is the most recent mix I've done. It's made from Gomma Records 100th release compilation. They're a great label, and I recommend buying their stuff. Especially on vinyl. This mix is really more of a remix album then a dj mix. It's made entirely from one CD that I found at a flea market. I'm not saying what it is though. But, rest assured that's it's from one of James Brown's drummers. doh! I said I wouldn't say! I think this was the last mix I did on real turntables with real vinyl. Sad isn't it? Pretty loose with the programming on this one. Almost no planning involved. ouch. Love that "good sluts factory" track though. Electro with BPitch and the like. Plus Comtron!! "we know you very well, that's why you buy what we sell" |

This was part two. More of that low energy techy vocal german sound. I got really into this relaxed techno vocal type of track. And this is the result. This sound really influenced me. even to this day ... pump up the jam. coffee and ham.. I recorded this live, as I was opening one night. That place used to be so fun, didn't it? This is very typical of the sound we were playing at that time. Time Eclipse 1999 <---- This is the one you want! This was IT!!! My first and only Mix Tape that I had professionally duplicated. There was 100 copies ... I only have one left! Maybe . This is super Detroit, with some Herbert and stuff. Probably My Best Work Ever! A track I recorded in .... 2005? One of my favorites. |
